Ignite are looking for an experienced Programmer Analyst to act as the key technical point of contact between Development and the BA team. This is a principal role within the Tech team where you can utilise your technical and analytical skills to make an impact to the overall software development lifecycle and Tech Strategy.
What you will do
Maintain and improve of the software development lifecycle, aligned with agile methodologies.
Assess the impact of any system changes or new developments for the business.
Product technical documentation in conversation with the dev team.
Liaise with business unit owners and change owners to ensure that you fully understand the business requirements and business/system logics when creating technical spec documents for our internal development team or 3rd party suppliers.
Prepare Maintenance packages for the ongoing support of existing applications.
Assisting with the delivery of the Tech Strategy
Act as point of contact for change owners, developers and business testers during the software development lifecycle
Coordinate and manage development and testing feedback.
Understanding and implementing good practice software testing methodologies
The successful candidate will have

ASP .Net / C# / SQL Server Developer
£30k-60k depending on skills/experience
We are looking for skilled, experienced developers who enjoy working in fast-paced teams, with excellent support and good job perks. The developer role will involve a variety of tasks from the development of new components, planning and executing enhancements, and occasionally fixing issues.
We are going through a major transformation - splitting our system into microservices, introducing APIs, and bringing in a vue.js front end. Practical candidates with a willingness to embrace newer technologies and work alongside existing proven systems will do well.
You will be working on a Microsoft web technology stack: ASP .NET 4.5.2, MVC, WebForms (being retired but working knowledge required), C#, LINQ, Entity Framework, JQuery, AJAX and SQL Server. Any knowledge of Vue would be useful.
Commercial coding experience (6+ years for senior role)
An attention to detail and an enthusiasm to take responsibility for all work and solutions produced.
Ability to meet challenging deadlines
Good problem solving and communication skill
SQL Server including profiling / performance tuning.
Entity Framework / EDMX / LINQ
Web API’s, SOAP / Web Service APIs
